Tools and Hardware Reviews of Redback Tools MaxiS5 Phillips ScrewdriverCustomer Review: Amazing Phillips screwdriver Summary: 5 Stars
This screwdriver is amazing. It really does fit many different sizes of Phillips screws and I've been able to use it on some screws that have been stripped by other screwdrivers. Great tool.
Description of Redback Tools MaxiS5 Phillips ScrewdriverWhat Redback Tools does best isn?t coming up with new tools; rather, their genius is in reinventing common hand tools, making them work smarter and harder so you don?t have to.They?ve come up with a cleverly redesigned line of hammers, a measuring tape you can write on, a utility knife with a super-fast blade change, and this: a Phillips head that fits a wide range of crosspoint sizes. We didn?t believe it either, but they speak the truth. This patented tip actually does fit everything from a size 0 to size 3, and the ergonomically designed grip gives you both supreme comfort and slippage control. It?s made of thermoplastic elastomer, which is incredibly durable, feels great in your hand and is even chemically resistant. The blade is forged of alloy steel with a hardened tip, and this screwdriver is definitely built for the long haul. The design is ingenious; the head locks right into the screw slots and gives you absolute control and zero slip. This screwdriver will handily replace four standard screwdrivers, saving you time lost in digging around for the right sized head. Redback also makes 2- and 3-inch bits featuring the same head that chuck into your drill or driver. This is one of the coolest innovations we?ve seen. -- Kris Jensen-Van Heste The Redback Story When a serious 2002 motorbike accident ended Australian carpenter Jake Tyson's career as a tradesman, he focused his energy on improving a tool that had remained unchanged for more than a century?the simple hammer. The end result was the Maxistrike, a hammer with a patented arc shaft that allows users to drive nails over obstacles like joists and piping. When he found that large tool companies weren?t interested in his idea, Tyson decided that he had to market the hammer himself. Redback launched the Maxistrike in November 2003 and saw it win the "Dealer?s Pick" award at that year?s American Hardware Show. Since then, Redback has continued to dedicate itself to manufacturing innovative, sturdy tools for the carpenter and contractor, such as the MaxiS5 Phillips Screwdriver which works with both Posidrive and multiple head sizes of Phillips screws. Other innovative products include the Sketch Tape, a measuring tape that lets users write measurements on the tape's surface, and the Maxiknife, a rugged utility knife with a patented blade-change system and onboard storage for extra blades. Redback products are meant for professionals and do-it-yourselfers alike, and they are designed for maximum durability and functionality.
